Me, Myself, and Them

So in my first post I said that I love to hang with friends. But my relationships with all of them go much further than that. They are my second family and I love them all dearly. I really enjoy hanging out with my youth group friends, they have really helped my though a rough transition in my life.
Now if you read my last post(and if you have not you so need to) I told you all that in the last year my family and I moved churches and I left my old youth group. After I left I had some trust issues with other teens. I was scared to let others in because of what happened at our old church. I thought I was never gonna let other people in a close as I let those people in. It was nervous for me when I went into the new youth group, I was expecting a similar attitude from the teens in this new youth group and my last one. But I was wrong, I was welcomed my so many people and they know who they are. It took my a little while I finally let those teens in to my life as my close friends.
I am glad that I made made choice that I did; the teens in axis are some of the best teens I have ever known. They are amazing and I really and glad that GOD has given me a chance to meet and have a relationship with each one of them. I have been majorly blessed.

The End Game

There has been a lot of people close to me who have said I'm gonna do big things with my life and I'm gonna change people's lives. I guess in some cases you could already make an argument that I have changed people's lives. One of the things that I want to do is leave my mark on this world and I hope that "mark" points people to Jesus and if it does not then my life will have been wasted, because that is all that matters.
So, lately I have been think a lot about this "end game" where I want to end up; and more importantly where GOD wants me to end up, about a year ago me and my family moved to NewHope Church and I joined the youth group and when I first started I will have to admit I was a little nervous but after meeting some of my now closest friends and hearing the messages of an amazing youth pastor. I began to settle in and feel a lot more at home. After a while I saw how this amazing youth pastor's messages impacted my life and my friends lives and I really started to wonder about my original goal; was it what I really wanted and would it point people to Christ. So, I began to pray; I prayed for a while and finally I came to the resolution that GOD was calling me into ministry.
But of course I was nervous, I had set myself up to go into the field of forensics  and that included the high school I was and still am going to. But a door was opened; I really wanted to go to liberty university and I was not sure how I was going to make a forensics career path (my original goal) work at a school that had no such thing but there is a youth ministries major there. This makes me very happy and excited. So in about 3 years I want to be attending liberty and working towards a degree in youth ministries and preparing myself to change the next generation for the good of The Lord.

So... Yeah. That's what I want to do with my life and I'm glad I get to serve the One who paid it all!!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this and to all the fathers, I hope you all have a very happy Father's Day!!!!

Who I am

Now I'm kinda new to this whole blogging thing but I thought it might be fun and hey it can't hurt. So here it goes...
Who am I? Well I'm David, a sophomore at CMA. I'm addicted to music, coffee, hanging with friends, having fun, and most importantly; my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yea I'm a Jesus Freak. I go to NewHope Church and my youth group's name is Axis. (Yea were that cool)
I also have a rare genetic disorder called T.A.R syndrome and yea it makes me look different but don't expect it to define who I am and what I do because it won't. So that's me in a nut shell.
