There has been a lot of people close to me who have said I'm gonna do big things with my life and I'm gonna change people's lives. I guess in some cases you could already make an argument that I have changed people's lives. One of the things that I want to do is leave my mark on this world and I hope that "mark" points people to Jesus and if it does not then my life will have been wasted, because that is all that matters.
So, lately I have been think a lot about this "end game" where I want to end up; and more importantly where GOD wants me to end up, about a year ago me and my family moved to NewHope Church and I joined the youth group and when I first started I will have to admit I was a little nervous but after meeting some of my now closest friends and hearing the messages of an amazing youth pastor. I began to settle in and feel a lot more at home. After a while I saw how this amazing youth pastor's messages impacted my life and my friends lives and I really started to wonder about my original goal; was it what I really wanted and would it point people to Christ. So, I began to pray; I prayed for a while and finally I came to the resolution that GOD was calling me into ministry.
But of course I was nervous, I had set myself up to go into the field of forensics and that included the high school I was and still am going to. But a door was opened; I really wanted to go to liberty university and I was not sure how I was going to make a forensics career path (my original goal) work at a school that had no such thing but there is a youth ministries major there. This makes me very happy and excited. So in about 3 years I want to be attending liberty and working towards a degree in youth ministries and preparing myself to change the next generation for the good of The Lord.
So... Yeah. That's what I want to do with my life and I'm glad I get to serve the One who paid it all!!!
Thanks for taking the time to read this and to all the fathers, I hope you all have a very happy Father's Day!!!!
Glad to hear this David. You have come a long way in a short time my friend. I remember when you were struggling with getting baptized and now you are ready to take on the world for and with Jesus.
